This is what I look like at work... seriously!
It feels about 30 below zero!. The mail room controls the temp to my office... and the mail room jerks won't ever turn it down!
It is so cold that all day my hands are frozen and it actually hurts to type.
I guess they find it funny when they walk by and find me looking like this....
Anyhoo....
ps, fires are under control. Finally

I look like that at work too!!
Good news about the fires!
I have the opposite problem here - in the summer I bake because I work in a room that has huge windows that trap the sun all day. In the winter the heating is controlled from another block that is inhabited by nurses, who have the thermostat set at "Meltdown"!
I remember those cold office days! It's a constant battle. My boss was a heavy man and he always won the battle and I always froze! I do miss it though...that was a GREAT place to work!
I am so glad about the fires being under control...YAY!!!!
I feel your pain, sistah. It was like that when I worked at the state too. And again at the computer software place. You had to keep a little heater under your desk to keep your feets thawed. LOL!
PS. I'm linking you at the Cowpie Field so I don't loose track of you. I won't always be so busy that I can't visit. I figure I've got two more weeks of off and on torture and I'm back in full blogging mode. LOL! I'm such an addict.
Crabby,
I am so honored to be on your blog roll! Does this make me a cow pie or a moo-er?
I love your blog, you are a hoot!
Having to type really fast because my fingers are almost frozen (been at work for 2 hours now)
I hope that's not what you look like at work. I don't want to work anywhere where I become two-dimensional upon walking through the door. One must draw the line somewhere.
I don't believe your mouth is that wide. Not even Mary Tyler Moore had a mouth as wide as that.
Kara - haven't you noticed that a lot of people become 2 dimensional when they get to work?
i used to suffer w/ that.... always hated it. i think having your fingers cold when you're trying to type is a punishment from God... what did you do???!!!!! ;)
seriously though... it does suck.
hey.. i posted a pic of Naief's Halloween outfit at my site.
I'm always cold in offices too, even here in London.
I try to keep a stock of cardigans and pashminas handy! At one office the heater under my desk was a real treat, it was like I had my own cocoon of warmth.
