Airports, Freeways, Schedules.... Yuk!

My brother-in-law has made it to Cali... WOO HOO!

BUT What a long chaotic day!
It is 11:30pm and I am wide awake. I caught a third, maybe fifth wind and I am sitting here in a dark cold house with all the families in bed after I read them all bed time stories ;-)

I don't feel as stressed now that my sister has her husband with her and the baby. Naief was so cute today at the airport even though it took FOREVER for Hashim to get thru imigration alarms, lights and lasers! What is with LAX???!!! And the traffic coming home in rush hour traffic... and why do we have carpool lanes here? What a freakin joke that is...especially after being behind a AHOLE with no one but his sorry ass self in the truck... URGHHH!

Gosh, I thought I felt less stressed but typing about this is really starting to piss me off! Let me "veg" and read about other people's disasters!

Stressed Out! Help.

I am getting a little stressed. A Lot Stressed. I have about a million things that I need to do. Okay maybe not a million but close enough. My bro-in-law flies in from Bahrain Thursday. Things need to be done around the house. Not only are we cleaning and getting ready for his arrival but my nephews 1st birthday party is Saturday and we are getting ready for that as well. Friends and family and chaos.

And then there is Brownies. Selling cookies is a lot of work. We only have 1 week left of Pre-Sales so it's Door-To-Door time. And now that my girlfriend is recovering from her cancer episode, I am responsible for the entire troops sales as well. Holy shit.

And then there is this test. I NEED to study!! It is the end of February and I have been a BIG SLACKER. I just can't get motivated. I have ordered a refresher course on line so hopefully that gets me focused.

And then I fly to Houston next week for business which that is another thing on my "I Don't Have Time For This Shit" list.

And then there is Softball practices that start THIS Friday. OMG! Oh OH OH and guess what, she will be using her pink glove! Yep. Her team are the "Diva Queens" and their uniform is black and pink! With a pink visor even. How cute is that? So there Doc! ;-) The practices are every Friday from 5:30-7:30 (why would anyone schedule such things on a Friday night?!) and also every Saturday from 1-3! THIS COMPLETELY SUCKS! And the coach is really wanting me to volunteer as team mom. what? i think not.

And then there is our Dog. That is another post for another day.

And then the rain... it has finally stopped after 5 days non-stop. I am sick of it. I want blue skies and fresh air. Maybe that will help me not to feel so stressed. I need something...

Games are Almost On!

This post is for my BIL that is coming in less than a week!!!! Yallah Yallah...
The games are on!!! Scrabble, Cards , Pool (new table) Darts (haven't played since last time... little dusty) and WII!

Message in a Bottle....

Has anyone thought about doing this? Am I lame for wanting to? There is a movie coming out soon with Jack Nicholson called "Bucket List" in which he and Morgan Freeman make lists of things they want to do before "kicking the bucket". It looks really good!!!! But hey who doesn't love a little Jack?

Anyways, it got me thinking last night of all the things I want to do before I die. I need to make a list. Does anyone have their list made and have you started checking things off?

I have always wanted to send a message in a bottle. Where would it go? Who would get it? Would they cherish the words on the paper? Would it eventually reach the hands that the letter was meant for? Or would it end up in a pile of trash on the banks of the ocean?

I will start my "Things to Do List Before Kicking the Bucket".

Let it snow... let it snow....

These are the mountains that I live by. Actually all the windows in the front of my house look out over the San Bernardino/Mt Baldy mountains....In 2003 I bought my very first home and I THANK GOD that I decided to leave the O.C. (Orange County)and move east. Ocean is for some but I am more of a mountain girl.

I wanted to take a picture this morning of all the snow that has come just over the last couple of days but the clouds were so low that I really couldn't. AND oh my gosh, I saw the most prettiest rainbow that i have EVER SEEN this morning. It started at the base of the mountains basically on the roof tops of homes and was so large and the colors were so vivid. Did you see it Tania? Some low clouds went through the middle of it and actually made it look even prettier. It was breathtaking actually. I almost got off the freeway to go see if I could find the pot of gold...

It has been raining off and on since my sister came in the middle of December. She wanted the rain since it hardly rains in Bahrain, but now I think she is sick of it.
Plus she and the baby have been really sick and I think being stuck in the house makes you feel even more blah.

But the snow... gosh it is soooo pretty. These pictures don't do it justice. I just talked to my sister and she can't take a picture of the mountains from our front yard because of the low clouds. Maybe later today they will pass. If so, I will post one tomorrow.

I was reading that the HWY (behind the mountains) which is about 10 miles from my home was snowed in this morning. This is the actual picture from this morning.

Guess "Sunny California" isn't always sunny!

Actually (again) this is what I think...

I am writing this as a farewelll my fellow bloggies.... I have a huge test that I need to concentrate on for my job. For my Self. It was a hard test the first time (i received 2 points below the passing level... 3 years ago in L.A. (Los Angeles can be intimidating) and I need to be committed to this and only this my second time around. My job is very important. I always strive to go farther and to make a difference in people's lives. My industry does that.

Will talk all about it when I return the end of February. I can not keep up with this, Be a Mother, Be a Wife, Be a FT employee, friend.... blah blah boo woo and study. Whew.. something has to give at the moment! And this blogging crap is addicting.

Please send good wishes my way and come the end of February to find out if I PASS! (but if you stick around... I might post while really really really DOWN in the DUMPS... so you might miss something!)

Kate has over 2 months to get AS MANY ORDERS as she can to be top seller! If she is top seller out of her neighborhood council, she can win THE WII!!!!! And I, I mean she.... cough cough... sure does want the WII!
