When should you buy....?

This is the type of tree that I buy every year for Christmas.... I love Noble's. Last year however, I over spent on gifts and had to buy a Spruce or something... but not this year. I have saved (okay not really but I do tell that to my hubby!)
Anyhoo.... I always wait until like the second week of December to buy my tree for our living room. My daughter has already put up her fake tree with all of her Hallmark ornaments that she has been given over the years in our dining room... and all the outside and inside decorations are up.
BUT when should you buy your tree? I want to buy it today but it's only the 4th... afraid it will be dead on Christmas morning... and how sad would that be!

I don't know. I haven't had a real tree since I was a little kid. We've always had fake trees since I think I was around 8 or so.

Well, my dad always had some big real monster tree over at his house. But, it was always ugly. LOL

Hope that helped. LOL ;-)

We have not had a real tree for 20 years now, I have no idea.

Having a dead tree for Christmas would be awful, though, so I hope you time it right!

I'm a fake all the way now but I have heard that as long as you water it properly, they should last a while.

We bought it last night... it is huge and beautiful. Normally this size of Noble that we bought would cost $60-80.00 but we got it for 45.00 at Albertsons.... it is sooooo pretty. It actually doesn't even need ornaments but my daughter isn't going for that!

Keeping my fingers crossed that come Christmas morning it still looks as pretty and the smell... there isn't anything better than spelling a fresh tree in your home this time of year.

For those "fakers" out there... well I guess you could buy a pine candle ;-)

Having never bought a real Xmas tree, I couldn't tell you. But I sympathize with your anxiousness to get one now. I love decorations.

we have a fake tree and we love it. we don't worry about it dying and it looks like a real one. once you get all the trimmings on it, who can tell?!!

i was always disappointed when doing real trees for the same reasons... they'd die too early, and now i feel bad for all those trees. so many go to waste and it's a shame.

This is it! I am buying a fake one after Christmas for next year.

I already think my tree is dying and I just bought it two days ago! :-(((((

I haven't had a tree, period, since leaving Texas. We used to visit the tree farm and go on a hayride, and choose our tree, and they'd chop it down and take it back and tie it onto the roof of the car...

We aren't having anyhting this year, not even lights, and not doing anything. Coz we may be moving in early January!

olivia, OMG... i've got to get over to your blog!!! you may be moving.... so many thoughts are going thru my head... wondering where it'll be. can't wait to find out.... !!!!

i put out a few things the other day, when i thought i wouldn't go to the States, and hashim even started putting up the tree, but now that we're leaving, he may only put lights on it, he said. but the decorations, i could see them staying up until march!!! :) at least you have all the beautiful lights and such in london ... i've always heard it's beautiful there during this time of year.
